Forgotten is about the end of a life, fractured by dementia.
You play as Annie, a woman whose life is rapidly upended by Alzheimer’s disease. As her children clash over how to care for her, players unlock old memories of Annie’s long-dead brother.
Players share in Annie’s doubt, social isolation, and vulnerability through a mature experience that centers an often neglected perspective. The game is a subtle reflection on what life with dementia might look like, as well as a story about being in transit, and about how a disease impacts a family.
Forgotten is currently in development by Autoscopia Interactive, and visuals are not final.
“This is one of the saddest games I've seen.
It was deeply humbling and extremely well made.”

“This game reminds me of my Popi. He had alzheimer’s disease and he would barely remember me. One day, I went to go see him … and he said ‘I may not remember you here,’ he said while pointing to his head, ‘but I will always remember you here’ he said, pointing to this heart. That was the last thing he ever said to me.”
